Defence: Head of Rosoboronexport to visit Sri Lanka on next month?

Alexander A. Mikheev, the current Director General of the Rosoboronexport is now considering to undertake this crucial visit in December


( November 15, 2017, Moscow, Sri Lanka Guardian) A private entity working with the ruling executive is preparing for the head of the sole state intermediary agency for Russian defence-related and dual-use products, technologies and services, JSC Rosoboronexport, to visit Sri Lanka to finalize the proposed deals to buy the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), Gepard 5.1., under the Russian credit line.

According to the reliable sources in Moscow, Alexander A. Mikheev, the current Director General of the Rosoboronexport has received the invitation and he is now considering to undertake this crucial visit in December.

Previously, there was another senior official from the Rosoboronexport was planning to visit Colombo but the internal outrage between the local dealers the visit was cancelled.
